Gore Vidal Gomez--Why did we cut this song again? Because Joey liked it and wanted to make it more pop-ish. The vocabulary came from a book I was reading by G.V. I thought the tune had a Gomez-like quality. Am I over-explaining this?

Unctuous and tenebrous, adjurations painless,
You’ve aligned with well-hung stars.
Point me to the nearest car so I can get away
From the monomania and all its regalia;
I am hanging on to doubt.
You can scream and jump and shout
But your act’s a giveaway.
Calmly antipodal, and so sacerdotal,
You proclaim your new-found way.
Try to tempt me to the frayBut your act’s a giveaway.
You give today away for a tomorrow
Shining on an astral plane;
Nothing seems to me more plain
Than the here and the now.
Firmly occidental, antinominial,
Grace will get you through your knot.
I’m content with what I’ve got
So go on and get away.
Mystery’s a knockout; better just to drop out
Of the black and white charade.
Burn up all you want, I’ll fade
‘Cause your act’s a giveaway.
Here and now beats there and then,
Sacred cow lows low and thins,
I won’t waste time counting sins,
Live for now! If not now, when?
Ruminant and ovine, calibrate the divine,
Carry out your bloody feast.
A star will rise up in the East
And you’ll have to give way.
