Good Fences--I put my sun dress on for this one. An almost true story about a girl I know.

It’s been a while since you said “please.”
The thought of you just makes me freeze,
And here I am stuck in this country town.
The stock I bought in you goes down down down.
I need removal, I need relocation.
There is a hell and it’s called isolation,
I wasn’t meant to leave the city and its noise;
How did I pick you out from all those other boys?
I wear my finest lingerie for your best friend,
A little kickback for the days you’ve made me spend
Here all alone inside this dusty farmhouse.
My love is starving like a Baptist church mouse.
I had a chance, I had a choice.
Grew tired of waiting for divine voice.
Now I’m atoning yet again my unoriginal sin.
Oh sure, I think of getting out of here,
But then I have this paralyzing fear.
And so I stand by what I said;
I’m hoping soon you will be dead.
